I recently joined your list following my visit last year to the Singapore and Hong Kong registries. We have just posted our submission to the US Government, and thought you might like to see it, linked from our web site below. This is my first posting to this list and hope that you find our submission of relevance, My regards, Patrick ---------- From: Patrick O' Brien To: ISOCNZ "THE" Circulation List Subject: DOMAINZ web site - revised March 22 Date: Wednesday, 25 March 1998 17:06 Dear list members, The Domainz News pages were updated over the weekend, and can be found at, > http://www.domainz.net.nz/newsstand/news.html Key areas are the, 1. Release of submissions to US Government Green Paper 2. Debt collection -- the progress and the issues ***IMPORTANT*** --- NEW PROCESSES... ================================ In February, we began work on improvements to site functionality. Changes will be progressively introduced to the Web Interface over the next 3 months. Key areas to look out for are:- 1. Credit card payment screen, via secure web server 2. Change domain details screen split into 3 - Name holder contact details - Customer Billing information - Name service provider technical details 3. Ability to request authorisation key, delivered automatically to fax number held on the DNS record (Key requests are *THE* most requested enquiry by all customers) 4. Initiation of Name holder change (transfer) via use of authorisation key 5. Standardisation of interface messages, using web "meta" information to codify responses allowing better parsing by agents processes' 6. Ability for customers and agents to view a list of their respective domains held or managed 7. Changes to e-mail template and web site to accomodate You will also see more use of secure web server for "Registation services", as well as changes in the overall approach to the authorisation key. For instance, the key will be automatically changed when there is a change to the name service provider, it will be automatically sent to name holder email contact on initial registration (an e-mail address will become manadatory) We may also provide a means for the name holder to initiate a change to their key via the web. Does anyone have any comments on these process improvements? Does anyone have any other ideas they would like us to consider re improved site functionality? We are always open to ideas, so just mail me direct with your comments.
