Regional Internet Registries Statistics Exchange Format Record format Each record in the system represents a single allocation or assignment of a specific range of internet numbers (IPv4, IPv6 or ASN). Each record has the following format: registry|cc|type|address|length|date|status 1. registry = {iana,apnic,ripencc,arin,lacnic,afrinic}; (or maybe a fixed-length version of the registry name) 2. cc = ISO 2-letter code for countrry to which the alloc was made. 3. type = type of internet first number in the allocated range, as an IPv4 address, IPv6 address or AS number; 4. address = first number in the range 5. length = either the prefix length, or the number of ASNs in the range (interpreted according to the value in the type field) 6. date = date on this this allocation/assignment was made by the registry; 7. status = type of allocation {allocated, assigned}
